Radiohead這團名，其實就是和Talking Heads的一首歌借來的
到場領取獎座的只有吉他手Ed O’Brien與鼓手Phil Selway，其他三人另有事情，都沒有來
David Byrne妙語如珠，簡述Radiohead的歷史，highlight了幾張唱片，也開了個玩笑：
許多人認為，Paranoid Android是Radiohead的波希米亞狂想曲，哦，我期待看到那部電影呢，看誰會在裡面飾演Thom
“Paranoid Android” from that album was considered the new “Bohemian Rhapsody,” whatever that means. I’m looking forward to seeing the movie, and seeing who will play Thom.
Ed O’Brien的謝辭很動人，他最感謝的，是另外四個團員，他一生的兄弟；他也提到了當樂團沉浸在音樂中，樂手們所共享的那種超越的時刻：
That thing when we play together; that collective sound that we make. Some of the nights we have in the rehearsal studio where they’re like transcendental moments. I thank them for that. But most of all I want to thank them for this deep, deep friendship. We could’ve done this without this love for one another but there’s such a deep, deep bond and it’s a beautiful thing. So thank you. I love you.
